Between Rounds- Michael “Venom” Page
London, England is home to a 6’3″ 171 pound superhero named Venom. No, not the Tom Hardy character you saw on the big screen. Michael “Venom” Page better known as MVP with Bellator MMA. Saturday night at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT Bellator 216 is headlined by a much anticipated grudge match between Page and Paul “Semtex” Daly.
MVP is an undefeated professional fighter with a record of 13-0 as he enters Bellator’s welterweight tournament. Page has won 8 fights by TKO/KO, 3 via submission and only 2 went to decision. This fight is actually a couple years in the making as a cage side scuffle between Page and Daley went down following a Daley loss to Rory McDonald at Bellator 179. Trash talk and tweets have flowed ever since. Page say’s that he signed multiple contracts to fight Daley but they were never reciprocated.
London Shootfighters is home to the 31 year old Page who is a balanced fighter. His 3 submissions came 3 different ways. Rear naked choke, Heel hook and arm bar. Page’s TKO/KO’s have resulted from flying knees, punches, elbows, Dr stoppage and tornado kicks. Page has openly said he wants to taunt Daley and make him suffer in every aspect of the game. MVP even went as far as telling the media that the fight was hard to predict because he wanted to drag the beating out, surprising since 9 of “Venoms” fight have ended in the first round.
“Venom vs “Semtex”…
Sounds like a Marvel movie that fans have been waiting for since before Thanos was snapping people out. Page vs Daley will be Bellators “Infinity War” and make no mistake Venom is looking for his own “End Game”.
