The Washington College Shoremen fell 3-0 to the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays in a Centennial Conference men’s soccer game on Oct. 10, 2026, at Homewood Field in Baltimore, Md. Johns Hopkins scored three second-half goals to defeat Washington College.
The loss dropped Washington College to 2-5-5 overall and 0-4-1 in conference play. Johns Hopkins improved to 8-3-2 overall and 4-0-1 in the Centennial Conference.
Johns Hopkins Scores Three Second-Half Goals
Washington College created an early opportunity when Sixten Nowlan put a shot on target in the 10th minute, but the attempt was saved. The Shoremen also earned a corner kick during the sequence. Goalkeeper Hannes Budde made three saves in the first half to keep the match scoreless.
Johns Hopkins broke through in the 52nd minute and followed with a second goal in the 61st minute to take a 2-0 lead. The Blue Jays completed the scoring in the 83rd minute. Connor Wilkes, Brendan Listzwan, and Alex Gardner scored for Johns Hopkins, while Paul Sapilewski and Rohan Aggarwal were credited with assists on Gardner’s goal.
Washington College Creates Late Chances
Washington College continued to search for an answer after falling behind. Tucker Sprano put a shot on target in the 69th minute, but it was saved, and Niland Gallo had a shot stopped in the 88th minute. Gallo also sent an attempt wide in the 85th minute, while Sprano shot high in the 87th minute. Budde finished with four saves, allowing three goals in 90 minutes.
Johns Hopkins finished with seven shots on goal compared with three for Washington College, securing the 3-0 shutout.
Washington College Hosts Muhlenberg College Next
Washington College is scheduled to host Muhlenberg College on Oct. 17, 2026, at 7 p.m. in a Centennial Conference game.
