Haverford Defeats McDaniel College Women’s Field Hockey Team 4-1 as Charley Noah Scores

Haverford defeated the McDaniel College women’s field hockey team 4-1 on Oct. 3, 2026, at Gill Stadium in Westminster, Maryland, scoring three unanswered goals over the final three quarters during Homecoming.

Charley Noah scored McDaniel College’s lone goal to tie the game at 1-1 with a shot from the top of the circle six minutes after Haverford scored the early lead. The junior’s goal was her team-leading fifth of the season, and she has scored in three of McDaniel College’s last four games.

Haverford Builds Its Lead

Haverford opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game, but McDaniel College answered six minutes later. Each team scored on its only shot of the first quarter, leaving the game tied 1-1 after the opening period.

Haverford retook the lead two minutes into the second quarter on a rebound and began a stretch of three consecutive goals. Morgan Reis scored the first goal with an assist from Alice Stein, while Brynn Bickel, Louisa Coughlin and Erica Pardon also scored for Haverford.

Haverford outshot McDaniel College 12-2 over the final 45 minutes. Haverford also held a 6-2 advantage in penalty corners and allowed McDaniel College three shots.

McDaniel College Field Hockey Falls to 3-6

Senior Teaghen Rieder made five saves in her second consecutive start for McDaniel College. The team was listed at 3-6 overall and 0-2 in Centennial Conference play after the loss.

Noah’s five goals have all come in McDaniel College’s last six games. Her goal against Haverford marked her third score in the team’s last four games.
