The Washington Spirit women’s soccer team set a club record for single-season home attendance after drawing 205,367 fans through 13 home games at Audi Field. The Spirit surpassed 200,000 regular-season fans for the first time in club history with a sellout crowd of 19,215, which marked the team’s fourth sellout of the season.
The attendance total eclipsed the Spirit’s previous regular-season mark of 186,152. The team is averaging 15,797 fans per game this season, including 16,857 fans per weekend match.
Washington Spirit Attendance Continues to Rise
The Washington Spirit reported increasing average home attendance since moving its home matches to Audi Field. The team averaged more than 5,000 fans per home contest in 2021, nearly 9,000 in 2022, nearly 11,000 in 2023, nearly 14,000 in 2024 and in 2025 became only the fourth women’s club in the world to average more than 15,000 fans per game. This season’s average has reached 15,797 fans per game.
Upcoming Home Matches
The Spirit has two home matches remaining at Audi Field. Washington Spirit will host Gotham FC on Oct. 17 at 12:30 p.m., followed by a Nov. 1 match against the Chicago Stars at 5 p.m. for Fan Appreciation Day. Tickets are available online.
The Spirit welcomed “Fan 200k” with confetti and a pink carpet, upgrading the fan’s seats to premium. The fan also had the opportunity to lead the “Rise Up DC” chant before the match.
