Washington Spirit forward Tamara Bolt received her first call-up to the Brazil Women’s National Team for two October home friendlies against Argentina. The Brazilian Football Confederation announced the selection on Sept. 23, 2026.
Brazil will host Argentina in Porto Alegre and São Lourenço da Mata. The call-up marks Bolt’s first opportunity with Brazil’s senior national team.
Tamara Bolt earns first Brazil call-up
A native of Salvador in the state of Bahia, Brazil, Bolt has appeared in 15 total matches for the Washington Spirit since returning from loan before the 2026 season. She has made two starts this year and played almost 300 minutes in National Women’s Soccer League action.
Bolt scored her first goal for Washington in the Spirit’s 3-0 victory over Chicago. She scored on a header from teammate Trinity Rodman.
Brazil schedules two friendlies against Argentina
Brazil will host Argentina on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 3:30 p.m. EDT at Estádio Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre. The teams will meet again Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m. EDT at Arena Pernambuco in São Lourenço da Mata.
Both matches are scheduled as home friendlies for Brazil. The two-game series will provide Bolt with her first chance to join the Brazilian senior team.
Washington Spirit set to host Angel City FC
The Washington Spirit is scheduled to return to Audi Field on Saturday, Sept. 26, against Angel City FC. The National Women’s Soccer League match is scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. EDT kickoff in Washington, D.C.
