Izzy Diehl became the first Washington College women27s volleyball player to receive the Centennial Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week award since 2025. The senior outside hitter earned the honor for the week of September 14-20, receiving the conference award for the first time.
Diehl hit a .472 hitting percentage and averaged 5.22 kills per set across two matches, recording 47 total kills. That total included the most kills by a Washington College volleyball player in the 25-point set era, which began in 2008.
Izzy Diehl Records Career-High 26 Kills
Against St. Mary27s (Md.), Diehl hit a .571 percentage and recorded a career-high 26 kills on 42 hitting attempts. She became the first Shorewoman to reach 26 kills in a match since Katherine O27Brien 2708 did so against Goucher on September 27, 2007.
Diehl followed with 21 kills and a .383 hitting percentage in Washington College27s four-set victory over Rutgers-Camden. Across the two matches, she recorded five errors on 89 attack attempts.
Washington College Women27s Volleyball Earns Consecutive Honors
Diehl27s selection followed Allison McKechnie 2726 being named Centennial Conference co-player of the week on September 23, 2025. Bethany Haughton won the conference27s Defensive Player of the Week award the previous week, giving Washington College consecutive conference weekly honorees.
