Mount St. Mary’s University men’s golf began its 2026-27 campaign at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational in Huntington, West Virginia, at Guyan Golf and Country Club. The event marks the start of a season featuring returning contributors and newcomers for the Mount.
Mount St. Mary’s University men’s golf brings back key contributors
Mount St. Mary’s finished fifth at last season’s Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship, led by Bryan Hernandez. Returning top players include Santiago Bonequi and Force Kosalutta, who both played all 22 rounds last season.
Bonequi averaged 73.91 strokes per round and recorded a low round of 67. Kosalutta averaged 74.23, posted a low round of 68 and earned a MAAC Men’s Golfer of the Week award last season.
Other returning players include Jack Bagley, Shane Cole, Fisher Coleman-Sayer, Brent Glah, Tyler Kimble, Justin Mehall, and Daniel Shelley. The team welcomes newcomers Juan Pablo Benavente, Tad Collett, and Tristan Smith to add depth to the lineup.
River Run Collegiate next on schedule
Mount St. Mary’s men’s golf is scheduled to compete in the River Run Collegiate on September 21-22 in North Carolina. Davidson College will host the event.
