The Stevenson University women’s golf team opened the 2026 season at the Shenandoah Fall Invitational, held Sept. 12-13 at Cacapon Resort State Park in Berkeley Springs, W. Va. The Mustangs hold fifth place in the team standings following the first round, highlighted by Alexis Marsh’s career-low round of 75 (+3), which places her tied for third individually as of the suspension of play due to darkness.

Marsh was the only Stevenson player to complete her round on Sept. 12 before play was halted by darkness. Her career-best score earned Stevenson its top individual position on the leaderboard heading into the completion of the first round and the final round scheduled for the following day.
Other Mustangs still on the course include Sydni Sundstrom, tied for 13th at +7 through 15 holes; Olivia O’Connor, making her collegiate debut and tied for 22nd at +9 through 15 holes; and Callie Dias, one shot behind O’Connor through 16 holes. Carissa Dargenio and Nisachon Sillence were at +12 and +14, respectively, through 15 holes.
Stevenson was in fifth place as a team at +35 when play was suspended. The remainder of the first round and the entire final round are scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 13, at Cacapon Resort State Park.
