Washington College Trap & Skeet freshman Cole Coppage earned his first Shoreman of the Week honor after hitting all 100 targets in singles trap at The Eastern Shore Open on Aug. 22 in Sudlersville, Maryland. Coppage also earned the High Junior Award for his performance during his collegiate debut.
Cole Coppage Delivers Perfect Collegiate Debut
Coppage, who is from Kennedyville, Maryland, and represents Queen Anne’s County, connected on every target in singles trap. This achievement marked his first career Shoreman of the Week honor as well as the High Junior Award, which recognizes the top performer among junior-level competitors.
Washington College’s 2026 Trap & Skeet schedule includes several events such as the Summer Heat, the ACUI Upper East Coast Conference Championships, the ACUI Spring Lower East Coast Conference Championships, and the ACUI National Championships. The Summer Heat event was scheduled for Aug. 30 at 9 a.m., immediately following The Eastern Shore Open, held Aug. 22 at 9 a.m. in Sudlersville.
