Washington College Women’s Volleyball Names Izzy Diehl Shorewoman of the Week After 58-Kill Week

Washington College Women’s Volleyball named senior Izzy Diehl its Shorewoman of the Week after she recorded 58 kills and averaged 4.14 kills per set during a 3-1 week. The honor, announced Sept. 8, 2026, is the first Shorewoman of the Week recognition of Diehl’s career.

Diehl produced across four matches

Diehl hit .211 during the four-match stretch while averaging 1.14 digs and 0.43 blocks per set. Against Albright, she recorded a career-high 21 kills, including seven in the fourth set, along with seven digs and three blocks while hitting .283.

Diehl also led all players with 13 kills and hit .250 in Washington College’s season-opening win at Notre Dame (Md.). She recorded a team-high 15 kills and seven digs against Kent State at Tuscarawas at Penn State Hazleton.

Strong showing at Penn State Hazleton

Diehl added nine kills and hit .208 against Penn State Hazleton in a three-set sweep. She played only the first two sets in that match.

Across the four matches, Diehl totaled 58 kills while averaging 4.14 kills, 1.14 digs and 0.43 blocks per set. Her 21-kill performance against Albright marked her career best.
