Washington College men’s soccer played Neumann to a 1-1 draw Saturday, Sept. 5, at Neumann University Turf Field in Aston, Pennsylvania, in a non-conference matchup. Ethan Watson scored 3:05 into the match to give Washington College an early lead. However, Neumann equalized before halftime, and neither team scored in the second half.
Watson Gives Washington College Early Lead
Tucker Sprano assisted Watson on the opening goal, putting Washington College ahead 1-0. Neumann responded at the 14:20 mark when Luke Mejia scored with assists from Jordan Illian and Tony Huertero-Perez. The teams remained tied at halftime and stayed level through the second half. Simone Perin recorded Washington College’s final shot with 28:17 remaining, but Neumann saved the attempt.

Neumann’s final shot came with 24 seconds remaining and went off target. Washington College finished with four shots and two corner kicks.
