Allegany College of Maryland announced Aug. 1 that 16 student-athletes earned 2025-26 NJCAA All-Academic Team honors for their academic performance during the year.
The NJCAA recognized student-athletes who achieved a GPA of 3.60 or higher. First Team honorees posted a perfect 4.00 GPA, Second Team honorees recorded GPAs from 3.80 to 3.99, and Third Team honorees earned GPAs from 3.60 to 3.79.
Allegany College of Maryland First Team Honorees
Levi Carrington earned First Team recognition through both the men’s soccer and baseball programs. Autumn Hoppert received the honor in volleyball, while Allison Scritchfield earned First Team recognition in women’s soccer.
The announcement identified the First Team honorees as student-athletes with perfect 4.00 GPAs. Carrington’s recognition covered two Allegany College of Maryland programs.
Allegany College of Maryland Second and Third Team Honorees
The detailed announcement listed Arturo Garcia Tunon of baseball, Summer Kreydatus of cross country, and softball players Autumn Medina and Raley Nestor as Second Team honorees.
The Third Team list included Ben Abram, Dylan Frazier, Diego Gil, Malakai Jones, Esmanyel Esquea and Ivan Sypa from baseball; Sierra Campbell and Ava Sipes from women’s soccer; Elijah Hall from men’s basketball; Natalie Melby from softball; and Ashante Williams from women’s basketball.
Correction: The narrative initially identified three Second Team honorees but the detailed list includes four: Arturo Garcia Tunon, Summer Kreydatus, Autumn Medina and Raley Nestor. Similarly, the Third Team narrative mentioned nine honorees but the list contains 11. The overall total of 16 Allegany College of Maryland student-athletes earning NJCAA All-Academic recognition remains accurate based on the announcement.
NJCAA Academic Recognition
The NJCAA recognized 13,723 student-athletes nationally for achieving a GPA of 3.60 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year. That total included 3,799 First Team honorees, 4,593 Second Team honorees and 5,330 Third Team honorees.
Tommie Reams, Allegany College of Maryland’s director of athletics, highlighted the student-athletes’ academic and athletic commitments.
“These student-athletes have proven that success extends far beyond competition,” said ACM Director of Athletics Tommie Reams. “Their dedication to balancing athletics, academics, and campus life demonstrates the values we strive to instill in every Trojan student-athlete. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments.”
