D.C. United Soccer used three first-half goals to defeat Loudoun United FC, 3-2, in the first DMV Derby at Audi Field on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026. The 2026 Club Friendly also featured professional debuts for D.C. United midfielders Oscar Avilez and Kamil Castillo.
D.C. United Takes Control Before Halftime
Loudoun United FC forward Thorleifur Úlfarsson opened the scoring in the 10th minute. D.C. United equalized four minutes later when Oscar Avilez scored his first professional goal, with Hosei Kijima providing the assist.
Nikola Markovic headed D.C. United in front in the 23rd minute after an assist from Nathan Ordaz. Ordaz then scored in the 26th minute, assisted by Kijima, to give D.C. United a 3-1 lead at halftime.
