D.C. United Beat Loudoun United FC 3-2 as Oscar Avilez and Kamil Castillo Make Professional Debuts in the 2026 Club Friendly on Aug. 5 at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. Avilez scored his first professional goal in his debut, while Castillo also made his first professional appearance.

Oscar Avilez Scores First Professional Goal

Loudoun United FC opened the scoring in the 10th minute through Thorleifur Úlfarsson. D.C. United equalized four minutes later when Hosei Kijima assisted Avilez, who scored from close range.

Avilez played 64 minutes in his professional debut. Midfielder Kamil Castillo also made his professional debut for D.C. United and played the same amount of time.

D.C. United Builds First-Half Lead

Nikola Markovic put D.C. United ahead in the 23rd minute, heading in a goal assisted by Nathan Ordaz. The goal was Markovic’s first professional goal.

Ordaz extended the lead in the 26th minute after receiving a touch from Kijima. He scored his first goal for D.C. United, and the club carried a 3-1 advantage into halftime.

Loudoun United FC reduced the deficit in the 65th minute through an Academy Player 2, but D.C. United held on for the 3-2 victory. Ordaz and Markovic completed 90 minutes, while Avilez and Castillo each played 64 minutes.

The match was the first DMV Derby at Audi Field. D.C. United improved to 1-0-0 against Loudoun United FC all time across all matchups.

D.C. United moved to 4-4-3 at home across all competitions this season. The club scored all three of its goals in the first half, while Loudoun United FC scored once in each half.
