The Baltimore Ravens have secured one of the NFL’s premier young wide receivers for the long term, agreeing to a four-year, $140 million contract extension with Zay Flowers. The deal reportedly includes $108 million guaranteed and keeps the two-time Pro Bowler in Baltimore through the 2031 season.
The extension makes Flowers one of the highest-paid wide receivers in football, carrying an average annual value of $35 million. That figure ties him with Justin Jefferson in new-money average per year and trails only a handful of elite receivers across the league.
The Ravens officially announced the extension Tuesday, and General Manager Eric DeCosta praised Flowers’ impact both on and off the field.
“Zay is the type of player we always seek to retain. Tough, competitive, durable, a premier talent and a foundational football player. He’s earned this extension and we are thrilled for Zay and his family.”
Ravens Reward Their No. 1 Playmaker
Since being selected with the 22nd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Boston College, Flowers has transformed into Lamar Jackson’s favorite target.
Through his first three NFL seasons, Flowers has accumulated:
- 237 receptions
- 3,128 receiving yards
- 14 receiving touchdowns
- Two Pro Bowl selections
He also set the Ravens’ franchise record for receiving yards in a season with 1,211 yards in 2025, cementing himself as one of the best receivers Baltimore has ever drafted.

Flowers joins quarterback Lamar Jackson, running back Derrick Henry, and tight end Isaiah Likely as cornerstone pieces expected to keep the Ravens among the AFC’s elite contenders.
