Allegany College of Maryland Baseball Earns Four NJCAA Region 20 Postseason Honors After 2026 Season

After a strong 2026 campaign, Allegany College of Maryland Baseball saw four student-athletes earn NJCAA Region 20 postseason recognition, highlighting the impact of a talented sophomore class that played a major role in the Trojans’ success.

Leading the way was freshman pitcher Ivan Sypa’s First Team All-Region 20 selection. Sophomore outfielder Duke Psoras and sophomore pitcher Christopher Fagot earned Second Team All-Region honors, while sophomore outfielder Frank Diaz received All-Region 20 Honorable Mention recognition.

Ivan Sypa Earns First Team All-Region 20 Honors

Sypa posted a 2.95 ERA over 76.1 innings during his freshman season. He struck out 105 batters and held opponents to a .221 batting average.

Sypa also recorded 13 strikeouts in a performance at Frederick Community College. His First Team All-Region 20 honor led Allegany College of Maryland’s four postseason selections.

Duke Psoras Delivers Second Team Offensive Production

Psoras earned Second Team All-Region honors after a productive sophomore season in the outfield. He batted .367 with 62 hits, 15 home runs and 57 RBIs while posting a .710 slugging percentage and a .466 on-base percentage.

Psoras added 15 stolen bases and recorded a multi-home-run game at Hagerstown. Those performances complemented his production at the plate during the 2026 season.

Christopher Fagot Adds Second Team Pitching Honor

Fagot earned Second Team All-Region recognition after posting a 2.66 ERA over 74.1 innings. The sophomore pitcher struck out 66 batters and held opposing hitters to a .245 batting average.

Against CCBC Essex, Fagot recorded 11 strikeouts over eight innings and allowed two hits. The outing highlighted his statistical production during the season.

Frank Diaz Receives All-Region 20 Honorable Mention

Diaz rounded out the group with All-Region 20 Honorable Mention honors. The sophomore outfielder batted .331 with 53 hits, 43 RBIs and 14 doubles while posting a .406 on-base percentage.

Diaz recorded a four-hit game at Hagerstown and drove in six runs against Prince George’s Community College. Those performances were among his notable offensive contributions during the season.

Allegany College of Maryland Baseball received postseason recognition across both the mound and the outfield. Sypa and Fagot earned team honors as pitchers, while Psoras and Diaz were recognized for their offensive contributions as outfielders.

Sypa’s First Team selection led the group, followed by Second Team honors for Psoras and Fagot and honorable mention recognition for Diaz. Together, the four selections reflected the individual accomplishments recognized by NJCAA Region 20 after the 2026 season.
