Bradish has looked more like the Orioles’ ace over the past month, producing quality starts in five of his last six outings while lowering his ERA to 3.49. Since returning to the rotation, he has consistently worked deep into games and kept Baltimore competitive.
Detroit counters with Keider Montero, who has quietly developed into one of the Tigers’ most dependable starters. Montero owns an excellent 3.14 ERA and an outstanding 0.96 WHIP, limiting baserunners while attacking the strike zone. He struck out eight batters in his most recent start.

Baltimore Orioles: Dean Kremer (1-3, 5.06 ERA)
Detroit Tigers: Troy Melton (5-1, 1.95 ERA)
Tuesday could be the toughest matchup outside of the finale.
Kremer has battled inconsistency since returning to Baltimore, although his WHIP remains respectable. He will need to avoid the big inning against a Tigers lineup capable of capitalizing on mistakes.
Melton has emerged as one of Detroit’s breakout arms. The right-hander enters with a sparkling 1.95 ERA and an outstanding 0.95 WHIP, giving opponents very few scoring opportunities.

Game 3: Wednesday, 1:10 p.m.
Baltimore Orioles: Trevor Rogers (6-7, 4.17 ERA)
Detroit Tigers: Tarik Skubal (7-5, 2.70 ERA)
The finale features one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball.
Skubal continues to pitch like a Cy Young contender, combining overpowering stuff with elite command. He enters with a 2.70 ERA and an exceptional 0.92 WHIP while remaining one of baseball’s premier strikeout pitchers. Trade rumors continue to swirl around the Tigers ace ahead of the deadline, making this potentially one of his final starts in Detroit.
Trevor Rogers has been one of Baltimore’s steadiest starters this season and will need another quality performance if the Orioles hope to avoid being overmatched.

This series will be an excellent measuring stick for Baltimore.
The Orioles’ rotation has given the club a chance to win nearly every night, but the offense has repeatedly failed to capitalize. Facing Montero, Melton and Skubal in consecutive games makes that challenge even greater. Detroit’s starters excel at limiting walks, keeping runners off base, and forcing hitters to string together quality at-bats.
Baltimore cannot rely solely on the long ball. Manufacturing runs, taking advantage of scoring opportunities, and providing early support for Bradish, Kremer, and Rogers will be critical.
If the Orioles can leave Detroit with two wins, it would represent one of their better series victories of the season against a club featuring one of the strongest starting rotations they have faced in weeks. A series loss, however, would make the climb back into the American League Wild Card race even steeper.
