Intrigue and drama swept over the main event when Joanna Jedrzejczyk notified the UFC that she might not be able to make 115 lbs by today. Michelle Waterson declined a catch weight fight along with a short notice replacement fight against Mackenzie Dern. Waterson looked amazing at open workouts and was absolutely shredded at the weigh in tipping the scale at a perfect 115 lbs. Joanna went through a brutal crash cut that through video released was extremely difficult and painful. Somehow Joanna fought and clawed her way to scale today and weighed in at 115.5 ponds making weight and securing the main event for Saturday night in Tampa.
Ultimate Fighting Championship[ put together a great Fight Night Main card with Jedrzejczyk (15-3) vs Waterson (17-6) in the main and Cub Swanson (25-11) vs Kron Gracie (5-0) in the semi main. UFC heart throb Mackenzie Dern (7-0) will battle Amanda Ribas (7-1) and James Vick (13-4) faces off against Niko Price (13-3). Luis Pena (7-1) vs Matt Frevola (7-1-1) and Eryk Anders (12-4) vs Gerald Meerschaert (30-11) round out the card.
