Ravens are re-signing Robert Griffin III
The Baltimore Ravens are re-signing quarterback Robert Griffin III, according to Ian Rapoport. Griffin served as the Ravens third string quarterback last season.
Griffin saw very little game action last season but looked good in the preseason. Griffin brings a veteran backup presence to the Ravens. Griffen will backup quarterback Lamar Jackson.
I like this signing by the Ravens. RGIII proved he can still play last preseason and he has had two years of not taking many hits to regain his health.
Here is Rapoport tweet on the signing. More to come as details arrive.
The #Ravens are re-signing QB Robert Griffin III, per source. He was a great presence in that QB room last year and key for Lamar Jackson.

Update: The Ravens have announced that the deal with RGIII will be a two-year deal.
We have agreed in principle on a two-year contract with QB Robert Griffin III, pending the passing of a physical. @RGIII is staying in Baltimore! ? pic.twitter.com/92Id3Ue0Ct
