Three Baltimore Orioles were nominated for Gold Gloves and three Orioles have won Gold Gloves for the 2014 MLB season. Nick Markakis, Adam Jones and JJ Hardy all won Gold Gloves.
Gold Gloves are nothing new to Markakis, Jones and Hardy as all of them have won multiple Gold Gloves. The Orioles had 96 wins and defense played a huge part of it. The Orioles win on defense, home runs and pitching and Markakis, Hardy and Jones are the best of the best defensively.
Hardy was Mr. Automatic at short stop and made hard plays look easy. In the outfield Jones and Markakis were a steady combination. Jones and Markakis added their outstanding plays and Markakis did not have an error in the outfield all season. Both Jones and Markakis stole a few home runs from opposing players on the season.
It should be noted that Markakis is currently in negotiations with the Orioles to return to the team.
