#21 Ranked Terrapins travel to Ohio State in the Penultimate Regular Season Game

The Maryland Terrapins travel to Ohio State to look for their third road win of the season. The Terrapins find themselves back in the rankings, coming in at number 21 this week. They are coming off a big win against Northwestern this past Sunday, who was ranked 21 at the time. The Terps were very impressive in their win Sunday, winning by 16.

Ohio State snapped a 9 game losing streak on Sunday, beating Illinois by 12 points at home. They now sit at 12-17 on the season, 4-14 in their conference. It has not been a very promising year for the Buckeyes.

The Terps took down the Buckeyes in their first meeting this season back in January, winning 70-63 at home. Traveling in the Big Ten is a different beast though, as Maryland has learned themselves this year. In what is likely to be a rowdy crowd in Ohio today, the Terps will look to pull out their third road win of the season.

For Maryland, transfer guard Jahmir Young continues to shine, coming off an 18 point performance on Sunday. The whole starting 5 for the Terps on Sunday found themselves in double digits, sending the seniors off right with their last game at Xfinity Center.

As a team, the Terps shot a very impressive 14/22 from the 3 point line, and 54% from the field. Everything was going right for the Terps Sunday, and they will look for that again on the road tonight.

Ohio State is led by guard Bruce Thornton, who is coming off an impressive 20 point game this past Sunday versus Illinois.

Tonight, the Terps will need to find their groove again, to try and pull the home crowd out of it early. If they can continue to shine like they did on Sunday, this game could be a blowout fashion win. But, if they take it too easy, it could be a trap game, as we all know nothing on the road is easy.

The Terps will look to take control early, and run their style of play. Play the up pace offense, and pair it with a gritty defense performance in order to come out of Ohio State on top. Sitting in a 3 way tie for second place in the Big Ten, this game becomes crucial for the Terps. A win could go a long way as we find the conference tournament right around the corner.

The Terps and Buckeyes tip off at 7pm on Big Ten Network, Go Terps!
