Washington preview-For the 16th straight game, the Wizards have allowed 100 points in a game. In the blowout loss, the Wizards gave up 50 points in the paint, and after the game head coach Scott Brooks said changes are coming. The team shot well from the field (48.8%) and from 3-point range (56.5%), but were once again out rebounded by the Hornets, and turned the ball over 16 times, 5 of those by Beal. Washington won both of the previous matches against the Pistons in the capital city.

Detroit preview-Detroit has lost nine of the last 12 games against the Wizards. Tobias Harris is averaging 15 points against the Wizards this season. Besides Harris, the Wizards need to keep an eye on center Andre Drummond, who in the last 10 games he has played is averaging 16 points and 15 rebounds per game. A game-time decision will be guard Avery Bradley, who was in Philadelphia on Thursday about a groin injury. If Bradley can’t go, he will join Reggie Jackson, who is out until after the All-Star break with an ankle injury. Ish Smith, who is now starting, for the month of January is averaging 12 points and 5 assists per game.
