University of Maryland Eastern Shore Men’s Volleyball Adds Jake Adams to 2027 Coaching Staff

University of Maryland Eastern Shore men’s volleyball added Jake Adams to its coaching staff ahead of the 2027 season. Adams joins head coach Imanol Davila-Morales’ staff after serving as a graduate assistant with the University of West Georgia women’s volleyball program during the 2025-26 season.

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore announced the addition Aug. 17, 2026, in Princess Anne, Maryland. Adams brings experience in recruiting outreach, athlete evaluations, scouting, practice planning and individual training.

Jake Adams Brings Recruiting and Scouting Experience

During his time at the University of West Georgia, Adams coordinated recruiting outreach, assisted with athlete evaluations and managed campus visit logistics. He also led film breakdowns and scouting reports using Volleymetrics and Hudl, assisted with practice planning, and led small-group and individual training sessions.

Adams has served as a camp coach with Gold Medal Squared since 2024. In that role, he has taught technical fundamentals and system concepts while working with collegiate coaches on drill design, training tempo and camp operations.

Adams’ Club and Collegiate Background

Adams has coached with West Georgia Volleyball Academy and Triangle Volleyball Club. With West Georgia Volleyball Academy, he coached the 18s girls team to multiple gold-bracket finishes, including medal finishes at Lil’ Big South and SVT Regionals, as well as the Commander’s Cup title.

Adams also served as a resource coach with the 17s boys Triangle Volleyball Club. He contributed to the development of two athletes who were later selected to the U19 U.S. National Team.

Adams was a four-year starter and team captain at Barton College and served as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He helped Barton College reach multiple Conference Carolinas Tournament appearances and received the 2023 Barton College Sportsmanship Award.

Adams finished his playing career ranked among the top 10 in Barton College program history in both kills and digs. He earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management and business administration from Barton College in 2025 and is pursuing a Master of Science in sport management with a concentration in sport analytics at the University of West Georgia.

Maryland Sports Blog Take

Adams’ background spans collegiate, club and camp volleyball, with experience in recruiting outreach, video scouting, practice planning and player development. Those responsibilities provide relevant experience as the University of Maryland Eastern Shore men’s volleyball program prepares for the 2027 season.

Adams also brings playing experience from Barton College and coaching experience with both women’s and men’s volleyball programs. He will now join Davila-Morales’ staff in Princess Anne.
