Towson Opens up Conference Play This Saturday

The Towson Tigers will open up CAA (Colonial Athletic Association) play this Saturday as they travel to Stony Brook University to play the Seawolves.

The Tigers are coming off a close win against Saint Francis thanks to a 42 yard Field Goal from Sophmore Kicker Aidan O’Neill this past Saturday.  Towson’s Redshirt Freshman QB Ryan Stover looks to continue his strong performance from last week as he went 25-43 and had 247 passing yards with 0 Interceptions,  he is also looking to get the ball in the End Zone some more as he did not have a Passing Touchdown last week.

On the Defensive side of things, the Tigers D held Saint Francis to only 3 points the first 3 Quarters of the game. Diondre Wallace led the Defense with 11 tackles and a forced fumble.

Now lets look at this weekends opponent the Stony Brook Seawolves:

The Seawolves are coming off a strong win against Sacred Heart this past weekend, beating them by the score of 45-7

Stony Brook Junior QB Joe Carbone threw a career high 3 Touchdowns last week. And WR Donavin Washington took in his First Career TD reception.

The Seawolves Defense had 7 Tackles for loss and added an interception in a dominant performance.

The Towson Tigers will have to come Fast and Strong against the Seawolves this Saturday. The Tigers Defense will have to be able to stop Carbone’s air attack and the Offense WILL HAVE to get in the End Zone more this week. Can they do it? Why couldn’t they? Kickoff will be 6:00 pm Saturday as the Towson Tigers look to open Conference play 1-0  on the road against the Stony Brook Seawolves .
