The Keys to Victory
- How will the Mystics shooting from three respond?
The Mystics’ three point shooting has been spellbinding to see these first three games of the season. The Mystics have shot 9 out of 57 threes (15.7%) in the last two games against Connecticut. That will simply not win game for any teams. The good news is the Mystics are staying aggressive but could be with shot selection, and continue to improve their halfcourt offense.
2. Will the bench have a big game?
It’s interesting to point out a difference between last season, and the first three games. The bench isn’t getting the same amount of minutes compared to last season average minutes are 17 minutes a game, while Coach Thibault he wants to go with his starters which have played 30 minutes. The bench Tuesday only scored 7 points (Tianna Hawkins (6), Kristi Tolliver (1)). The second is key in this game especially to find it’s groove.
3. This is a different Chicago team
The Chicago Sky are 2-0 to start the season. But this is not the same Chicago team from last season. It’s a different team but the same energy. This is Kahleah Copper’s team now. This Chicago team has it’s first true challenge. Yes their record is good but they defeated two teams that are dealing with identity and injuries. Washington is only missing Myisha Hines-Allen, who is still working her way from injury.
