Terps Football Still Not in Top 25

The Maryland Terrapins cut it close, but are not in the AP Poll Top 25.  The Terps did move up to 28th after being 30th and 31st in the first two weeks.  Maryland skipped ahead only being three spots back of the Top 25 with 84 points.  The Terps also didn’t play this past Saturday, getting time before their game against UCF next week.  Maryland is 2-0 after taking down Towson at home, 63-17, and upsetting #23 Texas on the road, 51-41.  Texas lost to #4 USC last night 24-27 in 2 OT’s.

The combined total points of the game last night from both teams is 51 in 2 overtimes.  The Terps scored 51 themselves at Texas in regulation.

Maryland inched closer to a Top 25 spot and if they can win next week, there is no reason as to why the Terrapins won’t be ranked.

Maryland will try to improve to 3-0 taking on UCF at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium Saturday, September 23.  Kickoff is 3pm ET.
