Terps Host Fairleigh Dickinson

Maryland basketball is back to take on Fairleigh Dickinson tonight at 7pm.  This is the Terrapins first game since Dec. 12th, as they just got finished finals week.  Just be prepared for another slow start to knock off the rust once again.

Maryland is 10-3, 1-1 in the Big Ten.  The Knights are 3-7, sitting at the bottom of the Northeast Conference.  They are led by Darian Anderson, Darnell Edge, and Mike Holloway who average 39 points per contest between the three.

The Terps are 6-0 all-time against Fairleigh Dickinson, last game was back in 2005.

Maryland should have Justin Jackson and Bruno Fernando tonight as well.  Jackson has dealt with and illness and shoulder tightness, and Fernando with an ankle injury.  Mark Turgeon said both guys were available if needed against Catholic, but they were obviously not needed.  Dion Wiley also missed last game with an illness, but is set to play tonight as well.

This is another game Maryland should win.  The Terps have two games remaining before Big Ten play finishes out the season.  If Maryland wins tonight then against UMBC, they would be sitting at a solid 12-3 before Penn State visits College Park on January 2nd.

There is still time left for Maryland to fix their turnover troubles and shock some people with a big finish to the season.  No one expects Maryland to be higher than a 7 seed in the NCAA tournament, but this young team is talented and has the ability to rise higher when their name is called on Selection Sunday.
