Team USA Wins 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championship

After one week of grueling long days of lacrosse in Israel, the stage was set for Team USA versus Canada in the finals.

To get here, Canada beat Iroquois Nation 15 – 4.

Chesapeake Bayhawk player Lyle Thompson had two of the four goals for Iroquois Nation.
Fellow Bayhawk player Josh Byrne was playing for Canada; assisted Canada’s 14th goal.

Team USA beat Australia 14 – 5 in their match-up. Team USA co-captain Matt Danowski had one goal, and one assist in the semi-final.

In the final game, USA beat Canada 9-8. Danowski added one goal, and one assist, yet again, in the win.
