Taking The Fastlane, On The Road To Wrestlemania

Fastlane, the last pay per view held by WWE before Wrestlemania. Everyone is fighting for a spot on the grandest stage of them all making tonight’s action all the more interesting. Titles are on the line, reputations at stake and feuds are boiling over into into the mainstream media at every turn. Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio sets the final stage before the proverbial “Showcase of the Immortals”

The Shield has been reunited after the return of Roman Reigns who alongside Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose will wage a war with Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley & Baron Corbin. WWE Champion “The New” Daniel Bryan defends his coveted title against Kevin Owens. After weeks of viscous attacks and outside interference Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair battle it out with WrestleMania implications looming overhead. The Usos defend their tah team titles against The Miz and Shane McMahon in the home town of the Miz and with his father front row ringside. Let’s take a look at the card and I will give you my insights on what may or may not happen in a few of them.

Raw Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Match
The Revival (c) vs. Aleister Black & Ricochet vs. Bobby Roode & Chad Gable
I love this match up and the inclusion of two NXT stars in Black and Ricochet who I would like to see win this match. I could see a possible split between Roode and Gable but I don’t know if WWE thinks the time is now. Winner Alister Black & Ricochet

SmackDown Women’s Championship Match
Asuka (c) vs. Mandy Rose
Fantastic match in the making. Mandy Rose has made great strides and cemented her status with the WWE. I believe Asuka retains her title and goes on to Wrestlemania to defend it perhaps against Alexa Bliss, Lacey Evans or Sonya Deville.  Fire and Desire (Rose and Deville) are key to future  tag team plans.    Winner Asuka

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos (c) vs. The Miz & Shane McMahon
Okay this one starts to get interesting. Miz is in his hometown with his dad ringside. Promising to make up for previously losing the titles to the Uso’s. Setting the stage for a dramatic collapse by the Miz or a hard heel turn against Shane. Either way The Uso’s retain the titles and the split between Miz and Shane is ripped wide open setting up a match at Wrestlemania against each other.                                                                                             Winner The Uso’s

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match
The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection (c) vs. Nia Jax & Tamina
A snooze feast for our fan favorite tag team champions. Let’s just get Nia and Tamina out of the way so we can move on to Mania and better opponents for the Boss and Hug connection, Expect to see them face Trish Stratus and Lita on the grandest stage of them all.                                    Winner Sasha and Bayley

Six-Man Tag Team Match
The Shield vs. Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley & Baron Corbin
Roman is back and Seth and Dean have the agreed to get the band back together. This should be an entertaining match and full of emotion from the fans. Expect The Shield to gain a hard fought victory.                              Winner The Shield

Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair
Expect nothing less than a war between these two as they continue their feud. Becky has to win in order to get into the Wrestlemania match, You can either expect :The Man” to get the win or perhaps interference from Ronda Rousey causing a controversial ending and clouding the match at Mania with a haze of uncertainty. Should be a helluva match.                           Winner Becky Lynch or Chaos

WWE Championship Match
Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Kevin Owens
Love the fact Owens is back and I wish he would take the title from Bryan but I just don’t see it. Expect a fantastic return by Ownens and a great match between these two stars. Bryan will retain and move on to Wrestlemania to face Kofi Kingston as the fans finally get what they want. Winner Daniel Bryan

There are two matches on the pre show and don’t sleep on either of these as both should be great matches.

Fastlane Kickoff Match
The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev
Fan favorite New Day and a heel team with a fan following in Rusev and Nakamura with the insanely beautiful Lana at ringside.

Fastlane Kickoff Match
Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade
Two lucha libre style masters will put on a clinic in this one. Get ready for a fast paced high octane match that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
