Stingrays To Announce New Coach On Tuesday

The ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals will announce their head coaching search has ended tomorrow at a press conference in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The South Carolina Stingrays, per the Post & Courier, are naming Spiros Anastas, 33, the eighth head coach in their 26 year history.

Anastas replaces Ryan Warsofsky who became an assistant for the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL.

Anastas spent the last four seasons as the head coach at Lethbridge University, which is south of Calgary, Alberta, in western Canada. Anastas compiled a 36-68-8 mark in four years with the Pronghorns. Anastas announced his resignation as the Pronghorns’ head coach on Friday.
