Senior Day for No. 8 Maryland vs Illinois Preview
It is a somber but great day for Maryland. Every four years someone it is always getting ready for a transition, and it is Senior day for the Terps. Maryland Sports Blog would love to extend a big thank you to the seniors for this basketball program. Throughout the adversity that the seniors have gone through thank you for the wonderful memories you have given Maryland fans. Thank you for what you have done for Women’s College basketball.

Maryland is back home facing the Illinois Fighting Illini. As No. 8 is gearing up for the big ten tournaments, and with the regular season coming to a close.
Maryland securing their 20th win last game against Northwestern will be definitely motivated for senior day.
The Keys to Victory!
Illinois with or without Genesis Bryant
The fighting Illini can shoot the lights out with the basketball from either three or the perimeter which will test Maryland’s defense. Now it is interesting to point out that for a team that is 19-6, 9-5 but from a defensive standpoint lacks the same strength as offensive it is almost getting the lesser of two evils.
Do any other freshmen get an opportunity??
With Bri Mcdaniel’s play lately opening up giving the other freshmen more opportunities Coach Frese has made that practices are the proven ground to earn trust but it would be nice to see the others given more minutes, knowing it is senior day.
Just Bring IT!
As the regular season is winding down, the seeding for Maryland could be sweet. Maryland would host the first two rounds like the last march madness. Finishing strong against Illinois, Michigan State, Iowa, and Ohio State on the checklist before the big dance.
