The Keys to Success
Maryland not holding the 3 Point shooting
The last game the terps played was on Dec 11th against the “Standard” UConn Huskies within that time the growth of the team has not gone unnoticed.
From the tip the Terps did not look back coming out against IPFW, the results showed 9 for 16 from three, and immaculate basketball IQ getting shots for everyone offensively.
The OTHERS around the Diamond
The others around Diamond Miller are the key to the success of the Maryland Terps. Shyanne Sellers and Abby Meyers continue to be great energy in the starting lineup, as well as the bench, Brinae Alexander if there a Sixth Woman of the Year in NCAA Basketball, Brinae is the clear number 1 candidate. Alexander has been on an offensive tear during this three-game winning streak shooting 45% from behind the arc.
Transition & Defense
The stats do not lie IPFW was outperformed in the transition game by 27 to a whopping 2. This led to IPFW creating 19 apple turnovers: the infamous 1-2-1 zone defense, full-court press, and even double/triple teaming IPFW limiting them on offense.
Where there are seeds, there is growth
The Terps start Christmas early as they are going on another break before getting ready for some big ten matchups. The Terps have made some head turn, and this should not go unnoticed. The way the ladies were written after the transfers, and graduations of key players. This is what Coach Frese emphasized to this team….What do you want your #LegUSy to be?
