BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Salisbury University women’s golf finished sixth at the Shenandoah Chinatown Invitational, while Stella Jaffe established a program record with an 11-over 155 over two rounds at Cacapon Resort State Park.
Salisbury recorded a 78-over 654 across two rounds and placed sixth among 17 teams. The Sea Gulls shot 35-over 323 in the first round and 43-over 331 in the second round.
Salisbury University Women’s Golf Sets Team Record
Salisbury’s first-round 323 was 19 strokes better than the previous program record. Combined with the second-round 331, it produced the lowest two-round score in modern program history.
Salisbury finished 11 strokes behind fifth-place Otterbein, which scored 643, and 15 strokes ahead of seventh-place Stevenson, which scored 669.
Stella Jaffe Sets Salisbury Record
Jaffe completed the first round with a 77 and shot 78 in the second round for an 11-over 155. She tied for fifth among 91 golfers, finishing one stroke behind fourth place and within three strokes of third.
Jaffe’s 155 established a new Salisbury University women’s golf record for the lowest two-round score. Both of her round scores ranked among the top three single-round scores in program history.
Krista Brosius shot 81 in the second round and finished seventh at 13-over 157. The total was a personal best and the second-best two-round mark in program history behind Jaffe’s record.

Ava Kelly shot 83 to complete the first round and followed with an 81 in the second round. She tied for 23rd at 20-over 164, which became the sixth-best weekend mark for a Salisbury University golfer.
Sydney Lynott shot 87 in the completed first round and 91 in the second round to tie for 54th at 34-over 178. Cailin McCoy shot 102 in the completed first round and 96 in the second round to tie for 79th at 54-over 198.

Salisbury University women’s golf is scheduled to compete in the Bridgewater Invitational on September 21-22 at Lakefield Golf Club in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Both rounds are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
