The Salisbury University Sea Gulls received four weekly honors in three fall sports after Ryan Lowe, Kiley McTaggart, Elizabeth Villegas and Anna Bodmer earned Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Players of the Week recognition for Aug. 31 through Sept. 6, 2026. The honors came from the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference and the State University of New York Athletic Conference. Salisbury University announced the awards Sept. 8.
Ryan Lowe earns first career honor
Ryan Lowe was named the State University of New York Athletic Conference Field Hockey Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career. The freshman recorded five points in her first two collegiate games, including three assists against Swarthmore and the game-winning goal in Salisbury University’s 1-0 victory at Stockton.
Salisbury volleyball earns two honors
Kiley McTaggart received Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week honors for the seventh time in her career and the first time this season. She recorded 51 kills, averaged 3.40 kills per set and added six service aces during Salisbury University’s 4-0 opening week.
McTaggart posted 16 kills and 19 digs against Muskingum before recording 15 kills at a .341 hitting percentage against Lebanon Valley. Elizabeth Villegas earned Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time in her career and the first time this season.
Villegas recorded 86 digs and averaged 5.73 digs per set during Salisbury University’s perfect week. She reached 1,000 career digs against Drew and finished with 26 digs against Lebanon Valley after recording more than 20 digs in both Saturday matches.
Anna Bodmer breaks her own school record
Anna Bodmer was named the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the fifth time in her career and the first time this season. She finished third at the Salisbury University Fall Classic in 21:17.5, breaking her own school record.
Bodmer finished behind two Navy runners and now holds seven school records between Salisbury University’s cross country and track and field programs. Her award completed a four-honor week for Salisbury University student-athletes across field hockey, women’s volleyball and women’s cross country.
