Salisbury University men’s soccer has added Ludovic Bell as an assistant coach, head coach Zack MacDougall announced Aug. 13, 2026. Bell joins the Sea Gulls after spending three years as an assistant coach for MLS Next’s Baltimore Armour.
Bell brings coaching experience from the United States and Germany to the Salisbury University staff. The Rockville, Maryland, native has worked in player development, recruiting and youth-team coaching.
Bell joins Salisbury University after Baltimore Armour tenure
Bell helped Baltimore Armour’s U16 and U17 teams reach quarterfinal appearances in 2024 and 2025, respectively. He also contributed to recruiting efforts for the academy while helping develop 11 Division I commits.
He earned a spot on the MLS Next Team of the Month in March 2025. Salisbury University competes at the NCAA Division III level with primary membership in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference.
Coaching experience in Germany
Bell previously served as the head coach of a 17U squad for SV Blau–Gelb in Frankfurt, Germany. The team earned promotion to the Gruppenliga.
Before becoming a head coach, Bell was an assistant coach for SV Blau-Gelb’s 13U, 14U and 19U teams. He also coached the club’s 14U team in the Verbandsliga, Germany’s top youth league.
MacDougall adds Bell to Salisbury staff
MacDougall said Bell’s soccer background, knowledge and commitment to player development will benefit the program.
“I am incredibly excited to add someone of Vic’s caliber to the program,” MacDougall said. “He brings a tremendous soccer background and a wealth of knowledge that will immediately benefit our players both on and off the field. His passion for the game, commitment to player development and experience truly stand out. We are fortunate to have him as part of our program moving forward.”
Bell graduated from the University of Akron in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management/Sport Science. He also played Division I soccer at Alabama A&M from 2008 to 2010.
