Ronnie Stanley Practices for First Time Since Ankle Injury
Baltimore Ravens left tackle Ronnie Stanley was on the practice field Monday after being taken off the physically unable to perform list. This is the first time Stanley has been on the field since his season-ending ankle injury.
Stanley missed the remainder of the 2020 season after suffering the injury in week eight against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
2020 was slated to be a big year for Stanley. After coming off his first Pro Bowl selection in 2019 as well as being named an All-Pro. The Ravens rewarded Stanley for his exceptional 2019 season by making him the highest paid offensive lineman in the NFL. Stanley signed a five-year $112 million contract before the start of last season.
Stanley participated in individual position and one-on-one drills, but did not participate in the team portion of practice.
It seems very unlikely at this time that Stanley will be on the field for the Ravens Saturday preseason matchup against the New Orleans Saints as he works back into shape. But Stanley appears to be on track to be on the field full time in the very near future.
