Redskins sign Montez Sweat to rookie contract

1st round pick Montez Sweat has officially signed his rookie contract. The terms of the deal have were not released. Usually, rookie deals for 1st round picks are 4 years with a fifth-year option. I’m sure that’s about what he got. That leaves Terry McLaurin as the only unsigned rookie from this year's draft. He was a third-round pick.

Ford has been at all the offseason workouts so far. He’s been very impressive. Ryan Kerrigan compared him to Julius Peppers. That’s a high compliant. If he turns out to be the next Julius Peppers or anywhere close to him, the Redskins got a real steal with that pick. I wish him well.
