Redskins Add Veteran Arthur Jones

To help their largely injured and struggling defensive line, the Redskins have added veteran defensive lineman Arthur Jones. Jonathan Allen is out for the season, and Matt Ioannidis is out for at least this week, which leaves the Redskins with only four defensive linemen on their roster. Jones is 31 years old, and was previously released by the Colts, after playing there for several season, and for the Ravens for several before that.

The Redskins have officially signed Jones, but the transaction is not official until they decide who to drop to make room for him. It will likely be a backup offensive lineman, since they have more than needed currently on the roster.
