RECAP: Washington Nationals fall 2-1 to the Chicago Cubs ; trails NLDS 2-1
Both Jose Quintana and Max Scherzer came out throwing in this game. The first run of the game was set up by Daniel Murphy hitting a pop fly to Kyle Schwarber and Schwarber misplaying the ball which allowed Murphy to get a double. Joe Maddon would take out SP Jose Quintana and put in RHP Pedro Strop. Ryan Zimmerman would then hit a line shot in the right field gap to come up with a clutch RBI double to make it a 1-0 game.

Max Scherzer was throwing 6.1 no hit innings until Ben Zobrist hit a double off of Scherzer in the bottom of the 7th. Dusty Baker came out to pull Max Scherzer but as always, Scherzer put up a fight. Dusty Baker then made the decision to pull him and go with the LHP Sammy Solis.

LHP Sammy Solis would then face OF Albert Almora . Alomora then hit an RBI single to score Ben Zobrist to make it a 1-1 game in the bottom of the 7th.

Dusty would then take out LHP Sammy Solis and put in RHP Brandon Kintzler. Kintzler was pitching great until he walked Tommy La Stella in bottom of the 8th. Leonys Martin would then pitch run for Stella. Jon Jay then sacrificed bunt Martin over to 2nd base. Anthony Rizzo would then hit an RBI fly ball single into center field to make it a 2-1 game. The Washington Nationals would then go 1-2-3 in the top of 9th to lose the game, 2-1.
