D.C. United lost on Saturday night 2-1 to Atlanta United FC to drop their third match in a row. It was a home loss in their 21st MLS game of the season.
Atlanta United FC scored the first goal of the game at the 25th minute on a goal from Josef Martinez. 1-0 would be the score at the half.
D.C. United would score the equalizer in the 54th minute. It came off the leg of Yordy Reyna with a quick free kick that went off the crossbar before crossing the line. It was his third goal of the season.
Atlanta retook the lead in the 82nd minute on a goal from Marcelino Moreno. The Black and Red couldn’t find the equalizer. D.C. United will look to bounce back this Saturday at Audi Field at 8 p.m. against the Philadelphia Union. United is 8-10-3 in the MLS regular season.
