Ravens Trade Veteran Tackle Moses to Jets

The Baltimore Ravens have officially traded veteran right tackle Morgan Moses to the New York Jets along with the Ravens fourth-round pick in this years NFL draft. In exchange the Jets will be sending back their fourth-round pick as well as their sixth-round pick both in this years draft.

Drafted in 2014 by the Washington Commanders, Moses has become one of the most reliable right tackles in the NFL. After spending seven seasons in Washington Moses signed to a one-year deal by the New York Jets. Moses played in all 17 games for the Jets in 2021, before leaving in free agency to sign a three-year $15 million deal with the Ravens.

As a member of the Ravens Moses played in all but three games, but at age 33, the Ravens are looking to take a younger approached as they rebuild their offensive line. Only left tackle Ronnie Stanley and center Tyler Linderbaum are currently under contract from last years starting offensive line.

Veteran Patrick Mekari and second-year player, tackle Daniel Faalele, are the next two up in terms of viable right tackle options currently on the roster. The Ravens have also been linked to several of the top tackles in this years NFL draft with some experts expecting the Ravens to use their first round selection on an offensive tackle.
