The Baltimore Ravens and wide receiver, John Brown, have agreed to a one year deal worth $5 million and up to $6.5 million with incentives.

Brown, a 2014 third round pick by the Arizona Cardinals, is a 5’11, 179 lb speed threat who’s tallied 2515 yards and 17 touchdowns in his four seasons in Arizona.
Although the speedy Brown was a serviceable number two receiver behind the future Hall Of Famer, Larry Fitzgerald, his injury history is one to be wary about. Brown has missed eight games in career due to a pulled hamstring, a grade two concussion, strained quad, and turf toe.
Brown also suffers from a sickle-cell disorder. People with sickle-cell are more likely to experience muscle breakdown while exercising.
Five million dollars may seem like a lot for a 28 year old, second tier receiver with injuries, but compared to what other receivers got today, and how desperate the Ravens need a receiver, it seems like an okay deal.
Hopefully the Ravens can make room to sign another receiver, while also taking two, possibly three in the upcoming NFL Draft.
