Ravens Sign Broderick Washington to Extension

The Baltimore Ravens signed defensive lineman Broderick Washington to a three-year extension on Wednesday worth up to $17.5 million dollars, with $10 million guaranteed. Washington had just one year remaining on his rookie contract, but Wednesdays extension keeps the 26-year old through 2026.

Drafted in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL draft by the Ravens, Washington has become a force along the Ravens defensive line seeing his playing time increase each of his first three seasons. 2022, was Washington’s best season as a pro as he played in all 17 games, starting nine, while recording a career high 49 tackles.

Washington will look to build off his strong 2022 season alongside fellow defensive lineman, Justin Madubuike who appears next in line to receive a long term extension.

In additional news out of Ravens training camp, wide receiver Rashod Bateman was activated off the PUP list on Wednesday practicing for the first time this training camp. That leaves just running back J.K. Dobbins and linebacker Tyus Bowser as the only two left to participate in camp.
