Ravens Re-Sign Maulet, Sign Board

The Baltimore Ravens made two signings on Tuesday, with the first being the re-signing of 30-year old cornerback Arthur Maulet to a two-year deal. Maulet spent last season with Ravens after spending the previous two season in Pittsburgh with the Steelers.

Maulet was a standout for the Ravens in 2023, playing in a more limited role, Maulet still managed to play in 14 games totaling 37 tackles, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, five pass deflections, and one interception. With cornerback being a position of need for the Ravens as they near Aprils draft Maulet’s re-signing helps with the depth at the position and makes it less of an early round priority for GM Eric DeCosta and the Ravens.

The Ravens also reportedly have signed inside linebacker Chris Board. Undrafted in 2018, Board spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the Ravens, before spending 2022 with the Lions and last season with the New England Patriots. Board has primarily been a special teams ace, having only started three games in his six-year career. Board fills the void now left by linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips, who signed with Houston Texans this month.
