Ravens place seven defenders on Reserve/COVID-19 List

One day after the Baltimore Ravens placed starting cornerback Marlon Humphrey on the COVID-19 list following his positive test of the virus, seven defenders that were deemed high risk via contact tracing were placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Here’s the full list of seven:

  • DB Terrell Bonds
  • LB Tyus Bowser
  • S DeShon Elliott
  • LB L.J. Fort
  • LB Malik Harrison
  • LB Matthew Judon
  • LB Patrick Queen

The list that these seven players were placed on was created for a player who either tests positive for the coronavirus or who has been in close contact with an infected person or persons.

The Ravens were already in the league’s intensive protocol following Humphrey’s positive test diagnosis which means that the team will have augmented rules for their week of preparation leading up to their road trip to Indianapolis to take on the Colts

“The protocols are in place. The league, that’s all defined in terms of how many days, in terms of what they consider to be close contacts and those kinds of things,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said Monday.

Before fans press the panic button or sports betting gamblers rush to their local booking to put all their money on the Colts pulling off an upset off over the favored Ravens, with the exception of Humphrey, all of the players on the list could eligible to play this upcoming Sunday following a five-day quarantine coupled with negative test results.

The team announce that Humphrey was the only player to test positive for COVID-19 from Monday’s round of test results so the fact that none of the seven currently on the list didn’t test positive then bodes well for their availability for Week Nine.
