Ravens Declare Derek Wolfe Out For the Season

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh announced on Monday that veteran defensive end Derek Wolf would not return this season.

Wolfe has been sidelined since the early portion of training camp after suffering a back injury. Wolfe returned to practice on October 26th and hopes were high that Wolfe could recover in time to play this season. But ultimately the injury was too severe for Wolfe to return in 2021.

Wolfe joined the Ravens last season and had one of his most productive seasons as a pro totaling 51 tackles including six tackles for loss. While Wolfe hasn’t played a snap in 2021, his absence has been felt. It’s once again another huge blow to a Ravens defense that currently ranks in the bottom half of the league.
