Ravens bring back Safety Geno Stone, 1-year deal

The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a one-year deal with safety Geno Stone.

The Iowa product was taken in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL draft by the Ravens. Stone never saw much game action spending most of the season on the practice squad. Being activated for week five and six against the Colts and Patriots. Stone saw 38 special teams snaps between the two games along with two defensive snaps coming against the Patriots

Stone was waived by the Ravens on December 28th, and was claimed off waivers by the Houston Texans on December 29th.
Houston didn’t tender Stone as an exclusive rights free agent, allowing him to hit the open market where the Ravens felt they liked Stone enough to bring him back.

While Stone didn’t see much play time in 2020, he adds depth to a thin position for Baltimore. Stone will look to take advantage of a full off-season program and find his role on the 2021 Ravens defense.
