Ravens’ 2018 Opponent Finalized

With most of the NFL’s division races being settled this week, the Baltimore Ravens finalized their home and away opponents for 2018. The dates of each game will be announced in spring, once the regular season schedule is released.

Home Opponents

The Ravens will play the Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Buffalo Bills, New Orleans Saints, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home along with their usual division rivals: Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Away Opponents

The Ravens will play the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, and the Tennessee Titans away, as well as again their divisional opponents: the Steelers, Browns, and Bengals.

The decision for these teams, is that the Ravens play the AFC West and NFC South divisions, as well as the teams that finish in the same spot in their respective divisions. Since the Ravens finished second in the AFC North, they will play whoever finished second in the AFC East and AFC South, who are the Bills and the Titans.

In my early observation, the 2018 schedule looks way tougher than this year’s schedule. Both the AFC West and NFC South were the two toughest divisions this season. Although the NFC South has been up and down in years past, the AFC West has been one of the more dominant divisions for the past three seasons.

At first glance, I am predicting the Ravens to finish with a record of either 11-5 or 12-4. They will sweep both the Browns and Bengals and will beat the Broncos, Buccaneers, Bills, Titans, Raiders, Chargers, and will win at least one game, if not both, against the Steelers.
