Latest with New York-The Knicks are coming off a convincing victory over the Dallas Mavericks, as the young guns led by several rookies outscored Dallas 33-18 in the 3rd quarter, and they coasted to the win. Allonzo Trier, who is on a 10-day contract, scored 19 of his 23 points in the second half, also fellow rookie Michael Robinson had his first double-double of his career (13 points-10 rebounds). Tim Hardaway Jr., leads the team averaging 25 points a game. One player to watch coming off the bench, and supplies a lot of energy for New York is center Enes Kanter, who averages 14 points and 10 rebounds a game.
Latest with Washington-Rock bottom. That is the status of the Wizards. Anything that could go wrong did for Washington. They were blown out in the 2nd quarter against Oklahoma City, 44-20, in which they played ZERO defense, numerous turnovers, and all of that led to a cascade of boos from the annoyed Wizards fans, who were watching this “performance”. Even though the losing streak has hit five, the one bright spot for Washington was the debut of Howard, who scored 20 on 7-8 shooting from the field, although he only recorded three rebounds.
