Orioles Starter Kyle Bradish Set to Begin Rehab Assignment in AA Bowie

The Baltimore Orioles’ right-hander Kyle Bradish will begin his rehabilitation program with the AA Bowie Baysox on Tuesday, April 16 against the Pirates’ AA Altoona Curve. After sustaining a right UCL sprain in January, Bradish began the 2024 season on the Orioles’ IL, which was a tough and unexpected loss for Baltimore’s starting rotation.

On April 15, the Baysox officially announced that Bradish would pitch on Tuesday for the 6:05 home game against Altoona. It is projected that he will throw for two to three innings, and will try not to exceed 50 pitches in his start with Bowie.

27-year-old Bradish is coming off of an incredible 2023 season with the Orioles. He posted a 2.83 ERA, which was the third lowest in the American League. His surprising success lead to him finishing fourth in the American League Cy Young voting.

Bradish’s last rehabilitation assignment with the Baysox was on April 14, 2023, where he threw five innings, giving up four runs on three hits, while also recording five strikeouts.
